Drawing inspiration from the Indonesian traditional practice of 'jamu', this video portrays the material processes of making one in her Jakarta home in dialogue with the process of making inks using the same ingredients.

This expanded painting installation is a space visitors can enter, sit underneath, walk around and touch. Immersed in scent blend of turmeric and ginger oils and painted with natural inks, this installation is a metaphor for how 'jamu' concoctions traverse the female physiology.
