The Exotic Is Never Home

This project pays homage to the curiosity cabinet, a visual object characteristic in the transcultural exchange under European colonial expansion. Taking painting and objects symbolic of Indonesian natural resources, this iteration also references greenhouses in botanical gardens as an expanded curiosity cabinet.
